Try CanXM in the Browser
No hardware. No installation. Your data stays on your computer.
The CanXM Browser Demo lets you experience the CanXM Studio workflow directly in your browser before using a physical device.
The demo runs locally in your browser. Your CAN data, trace data, DBC files, ASC files, scripts, and other project files are never uploaded to a server. Files you open are processed locally, and files you create or export are downloaded directly to your computer.
In addition to the interactive hardware simulation, you can use file-based features such as Offline Analysis and the DBC Editor with compatible DBC and ASC files created by CanXM or other tools.
How the Demo Works
The demo simulates two CanXM devices connected to each other, similar to having two physical CanXM devices connected to two PCs.
The simulated connections are:
- Device A CAN1 ↔ Device B CAN1
- Device A CAN2 ↔ Device B CAN2
- Device A DO1 → Device B DI1
- Device B DO1 → Device A DI1
- The Ethernet interfaces are connected through the simulated network.
Both devices run at the same time. For example, when Device B transmits a CAN message, Device A can receive and display it.
Use Switch device at the right side of the status bar to move between the two devices. Switching devices only changes which device you are viewing; the other device continues running in the background.
Quick Start
The demo starts on Device A.
Load the sample DBC
- In Databases, click Load DBC.
- Select the included sample DBC.
- Assign it to CAN1 and CAN2.
Start monitoring
- Click Start to begin monitoring CAN traffic.
Switch to Device B
- Click Switch device in the status bar.
Load the same DBC
- Load the same sample DBC on Device B and assign it to CAN1 and CAN2.
Open Scripting
- Select Scripting from the left navigation rail.
Load the sample script
- Open a
.canfile and select the included sample script.
- Open a
Build and run
- Click Build, then Deploy, then Start.
Return to Device A
- Click Switch device again.
You should now see the CAN traffic generated by Device B in the Trace view on Device A.
All of this happens locally in your browser — no CAN traffic or project files are sent to a CanXM server.
What you can do in the demo
Send and receive signals using simulated devices
Send and inspect live messages exchanged between the two simulated CanXM devices.
Browse a recorded trace
Inspect individual CAN FD frames from a sample capture.
Decode signals
Apply a DBC database and see decoded signal values.
Plot over time
Work with cursors, filtering, and live statistics in the plot view.
Explore triggers and profiles
Set up triggered capture and save reusable measurement profiles.
Review diagnostics
See the ISO-TP/UDS workflow alongside the surrounding network trace.
Try scripting
Build, deploy, and run the included sample script against the simulated devices.
What’s different from the real device
The browser demo runs client-side against sample data and simulated devices. It’s designed to show the CanXM Studio workflow, not replace a bench test. For live capture from a physical vehicle or network, standalone logging, and hardware I/O, you’ll need CanXM hardware.
Launch it
The demo requires no account or download. Your CAN data and project files stay on your computer.
